Hello and Welcome!

Thank you for visiting our website.

We currently live in Miami, Fl with our 4 rescue dogs and African Grey parrot. Our dream is to one day move with our 'kids' to live part time in Eastern Tennessee and part time in Northern Florida. We love mountains and beaches and the friendly people in smaller cities.  Tom grew up in Switzerland and Lucinda grew up in New York state. Together we have traveled to many countries on 5 continents for hiking and beach vacations. The Smoky Mountains and Gulf Beaches are top on our list!  We enjoy all activities that the areas offer as well as the Southern Hospitality!!
We bought the cabins in Tennessee for a number of reasons.  The main one is that it offers great recreational activities year round. It has something for everyone in our family - from the kids to seniors.  You are close to everything but still feel like you are far away.  We love the wonderful scenery, national parks, mild weather and friendly people in Eastern Tennessee.  Plus it is centrally located and easy to get to from many states.
We fell in love with St. George Island on the Panhandle after taking a trip there.  It is so different from South Florida.  The relaxed atmosphere, friendly people, mild climate and beautiful beaches made us want to spent time there.  Serendipity is our 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath beach house where we spend quiet time on the beach and enjoy delicious Florida seafood.  We brought the game room idea to the island making Serendipity an exceptional house sitting right on the beautiful Gulf Beaches.
We thought that if we enjoyed these areas so much, other people will too!
You will appreciate the uniqueness of each of the locations.  In addition, when you are in one of our homes, you will feel like you are a million miles away from it all!

We hope you choose to stay in one of our homes.  Let us know how we can plan your next beach or mountain vacation!

Our "Kids":

Picture
We found Amigo in 2000. He was injured and running on a highway. Amigo is the oldest of our family and prefers to spend time with people than his own kind. Nothing makes Amigo happier than being pet (except maybe dog treats!)
Picture
Our friends found Caleb on the verge of death in February 2009. He was about 3 months old. After a month at a veterinary hospital, Caleb came to live with us. He is our most playful dog and loves to have a good time!
Picture
Poa was rescued from a local rescue that needed to move in October 2009. She was about 2 or 3 at the time. Today she is the top dog of the house bossing our 3 male dogs (and us!) around!
Picture
Cody is our newest rescue, joining our family in December 2010. He is a very loving dog that has some behavioral issues that we are working through.

Picasso is our African Grey. She has been with Lucinda since 1989. As far as Picasso is concerned, Tom is a guest who arrived in 1990 and just won't leave!

In Loving Memory

_We have had the honor and pleasure of sharing our lives with many other rescued dogs.   We will never forget Cleo, our first dog and best friend. Jack, a real gentleman of a dog. Remy, who was a wonderful friendly dog.  Mickey, who had just a few happy years with us after a terrible previous life.   We love and miss them all.
